7 out of 1000 Valuable Lessons from my father.
1-Family first.
2-Tell the Truth
“The best thing you can do in life is telling the truth.” – my dad always says to me.
It’s funny how most of his teachings I also find in other great people’s advice.
3-Be a man
Have integrity.
Keep your word.
Have a backbone.
Have self-respect.
Take responsibility.
Don’t do others harm or deceit.
Don’t do things a real man doesn’t do such as lying, cheating, not taking responsibility, finding excuses.
4-Work hard & do things the right way
Working hard is the best way to achieving your goals and dreams in life. When you start doing something, go all the way to the end of it, and do it the best way you can.
5-Pay attention & listen more than you talk
Always pay attention to your thoughts, your actions, your surroundings, situations, other people’s words and deeds, old wisdom from ancestors, and the people’s teachings.
6-Nothing is free
There is no such thing as a free meal.
My father always taught me to be careful of free stuff. Almost always there’s a “hidden cost” to it.
The best thing you can get is what you work for.
7-Beware who you
If you hang around with losers, you’ll become one; if you hang around with liars you’ll start lying too.
Find a friend who is better than you, and be a good friend.
A real man’s list of don’ts.
Don’t do anything:
Illegal,
Immoral,
Unethical.
